The much discussed site for US President Barack Obama’s keynote Prague speech has been finally selected, according to Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg. He disclosed in a newspaper interview on Tuesday that Hradčanské Náměstí, one of the main squares near Prague castle - with its backdrop of Saint Vitus’ Cathedral - had been chosen. A better site could not be found, he told the paper Lidové Noviny. Earlier speculation had focused on the downtown Jan Palach square. Mr Schwarzenberg said President Obama’s speech would outline his policies for European-US relations and defence. The proposed US anti-missile radar site in the Czech Republic would not be one of the main issues, he added.
