The Social Democratic party has succeeded in stalling the potential sale of Prague’s Ruzyně Airport. Propped up by the communists and former members of the Green Party, the opposition socialists on Tuesday outvoted an attempt by the ousted coalition government to dismiss a bill that would forbid the sale. Under the proposed law, the airport may be owned solely by the Czech state or by companies in which the state has a 100% share. The government hopes to receive some 50 billion crowns from the sale of the Prague airport.
