The international music festival Dvořák’s Olomouc arose through a transformation of the Olomouc Musical Spring, a festival that had been organised by the Moravian Philharmonic since 1958. Mainly works by Antonín Dvořák can be heard at the festival, but also pieces by other Czech composers such as Josef Suk and Leoš Janáček. The festival is organised by the Moravian
Philharmonic, a leading symphonic orchestra and one of the oldest in the Czech Republic. |
