Wine Weeks of Balatonfüred 2009 The Balatonfured Wine Weeks, which has a great tradition and is organized in August each year, is the festival worthy of the Balatonfüred-Csopak wine-growing region which gives the full-bodied ’juice’ Balaton Uplands. During this series of events wine-growers await both the residents of the town and the visitors to their intimate wine-huts erected on the Tagore Promenade. After the opening ceremony, the traditional Wine Knight ceremonies, together with the procession of the members of the Wine Order and the organizers, as well as the show of the Balatonfüred Town Concert Brass Band mark the beginning of this three-week-long event. The series of events offers a great selection of cultural and folklore programmes for each night, with performances of famous bands and folk-dance ensembles from Hungary and abroad on the Kisfaludy Stage. In addition, a local handicraft open-air market awaits visitors.
End of event: 30/08/2009
