Cafe Gloriette in Schoenbrunn Palace is housed in this splendid building. Delicious pastries and fantastic view of Vienna wait you there. On Sunday morning, there is a brunch with live music ranging from the classics to jazz.
The Gloriette Cafe was built in 1775. Today, the inscription of the middle part of the building still has witness: "JOSEPHO II. AUGUSTO ET MARIA THERESIA IMPERANTIB. MDCCLXXV" . Even then, one appreciated beautiful views - and for that reason a 20-meter-high observation terrace was created (can be reached only via a spiral staircase). |
