The Theater Museum in Vienna is celebrating the 150th birthday of the composer and conductor with “Gustav Mahler and Vienna” – and its reopening after renovation in the Baroque Palais Lobkowitz near the Imperial Palace.
The event focuses not merely on the biography of Mahler, but more on the role that Vienna played for him. On the other hand, it shows the influence that Mahler had and has on Vienna, from his time as opera director to the imperial court until today. The exhibition has a musical structure: three "movements" are framed by a prelude and a postlude. You have a great chance to visit Vienna with us during European Tour. |
