 Please allow us to introduce the first annual Prague Baroque Festival. We hope that this festival will become one of Prague’s major cultural traditions. This year’s festival will take place from the 17th June to the 3rd October 2011 and is intended for local, as well as foreign audiences. The Prague Baroque Festival project attracted a major partner for organising the first annual festival: the Prague Municipality. This festival could have never taken place without their support. The Prague Baroque Festival programme
will remind audiences during evening opera performances of the important and specific theatre tradition of the baroque period in the form preserved period documents as well as the spirit and character of Prague.
Musical ensembles and operas associated with Ondřej Macek and Tomáš Hanzlík are the artistic cornerstones of this year’s Prague Baroque Festival. |
