Excursion to Bamberg from Prague |

Description: Founded in the X century graphs Babenbergsky, a city in 1007 passed into the possession of Emperor Henry II, who made him the center of the empire. After accession to Bavaria in 1802, Bamberg has become a major cultural center. Hegel wrote here: "Phenomenology of Spirit", as Hoffman - his remarkable tale. The Second World War spared Bamberg. Now it is a university town, and Bamberg Symphony Orchestra - one of the largest in Europe. In 1993 the city was brought up in the UNESCO list of protected monuments «World Heritage».
