Schloss Johannisburg is an European Castle in Aschaffenburg. Until year 1803, it was the second residence of the prince bishop of Mainz. Johannisburg Castle was constructed from red sandstone. Red sandstone was the typical building material of the area of Aschaffenburg. It is located in the center of Johannisburg. Castle is one of the most charming castles in Europe.
