Our first stop in this tour we will make at the Lejre Land of Legends which is an atmospheric and exciting tourist attraction . 10.000 years of Danish history brought to life. Houses and settings from the Iron Age, Stone Age, Viking Age and the 19th century, historic workshops and domestic animals, located in the beautiful historic landscape near Roskilde. Sagnlandet Lejre was established in 1964 as an experimental center for studies in the field of history and archaeology.  Land of Legends comprises reconstructions of an Iron Age village and sacrificial bog (200 BC to 200 AD), a Viking market place (900 AD), a Stone Age camp-site (5000 BC), an 18th-century farmstead and various grave monuments. The historical artisan workshops (the pottery, the weaver's workshop, the smithy) work to reproduce (pre-) historical handicraft. Gardens, pastures and fields are the natural scenario of activities and reconstructions. Our next stop will be at the city of Roskilde was once the capital of Denmark, said to have been founded by the Danish Viking king Harold Bluetooth. No history of Denmark is complete without the Vikings - the fierce warriors whose bloody adventures influenced all of Europe over a 1000 years ago.  Once in the picturesque town of Roskilde, we will tour an architectural masterpiece filled with 1000-years of Danish Viking heritage. Under the roof of this Gothic Cathedral lie buried 39 kings and queens of Denmark, making Roskilde Cathedral the church in the world with most royal graves, a world record. Not only a UNESCO world heritage site, where has been the burial place of the kings and queens of Denmark for over 600 years ,  but also the location of the first Christian church built by a Viking king – the legendary Harold Bluetooth. Will learn about the fierce ancestors of the Danes, the king who united Denmark and the woman who became the 'husband' of Denmark, Norway and Sweden in Denmark's brief time as an empire. Also you can experience how Danish royals to this day have carried personal dramas into the afterlife through their lavish royal tombs. Also you can see the statues are named "Grief", "Memory", and "Love" and were cut from white marble from Carrara in Italy where the statue of "Grief" bears a notable resemblance to the statue of the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen. After the city tour we will visit to Viking Ship Museum which hold the remains of 5 well-preserved  Skuldelev Viking ships and containing five completely reconstructed Viking longboats, built from salvaged wrecks from the Fjord itself over the last 100 years.. Seeing all the museum built ships in the water is an absolutely incredible experience as you get to observe how to cleave and process the wood to get the strongest battle ready Viking ship possible. You will hear legends, see a film and get to play dress-up with Viking gear as did the incredibly brave and seafaring Nordic warriors back in the day. After free time we will return to Copenhagen.
