Our first stop will be at The Emperor’s City of Aachen  is not just because of its favourable geographical position but also due to its large variety of art and culture, elegant shops and pubs. Aachen is situated in an area, where the three countries of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands meet. The source of the city’s fame is the Aachen water. It is heated by the Eifel volcanos up to a temperature of 74°C and is known to be the hottest volcanic spring water north of the Alps. You will appreciate both the monumental stone architecture and attractive nooks and crannies of this city, with its fascinating historic and cultural heritage around every corner. The past is intriguingly present everywhere in the city. Our tour takes you past a large number of beautiful historic buildings, including Haus Löwenstein, a former residence and guest house, the Büchelpalais, which until 1752 was the grain silo of the city and the famous Dom of Aachen. It was the first German monument on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The main shopping streets of Aachen are located in the immediate vicinity of Aachen Cathedral and the old town hall. The largest and most important shopping street in Aachen is the Adalbertkirchestrasse. The smaller boutiques and restaurants can be found in the shopping streets in the Altstad van Aken. Next we will visit the Monschau, a small historic town in the German Eifel mountain region, which has remained virtually untouched over the past several centuries. Considered to be the most beautiful town in this region, Monschau makes you feel like you have stepped back in time, with its small winding cobble-stoned streets and its half-timbered buildings alongside the meandering Rur River, also you will see the  Burg Monschau (or castle) overlooking the town, originated in the 13th century and over 300 buildings that are listed as monuments.During your free time in the cozy alleys, you can taste and buy the local Aachner Printen. Next, it's time to head to the vibrant city of Cologne. Cologne is a city with long and interesting history. It was founded by the Romans. First mentions about Cologne date back to 50 B.C. In the Middle Ages the population of this oldest city in Germany was already about 40000 people. In Cologne people searched university education, free trade and well-educated citizen to talk to; all these factors helped the city to enter the list of the richest and most powerful European cities of that time. We will start the walk in the heart of the old city and will see some of the highlights of the tour include the cathedral, the City Hall, the Roman walls, the banks of the Rhine and the world famous Eau de cologne 4711. Then there will be free time in the shopping streets of the old town and don't forget to try the famous 'Kolsch' beer before you leave. After we will return to Dusseldorf.
