1st day: Arrival in Budapest. Check-in hotel. Overnight in Budapest.
2nd day: Budapest - Prague by train. Check in. Prague City Tour. Prague sightseeing tour. You will see historical part of Prague - Royal Palace, St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George Monastery and Golden Lane. A pleasant stroll through romantic Nerudova Lane will lead you to Lesser Town with its famous and marvelous palaces and medieval Charles Bridge (Karluv Most). Then, all together, we come in Old Town Square surrounded by Old Town Hall with its famous Astronomical Clock, Tyn and St. Nicholas Churches. From Old Town Square, we continue our tour to Wenceslas Square with St. Wenceslas statue .We finish our tour on National Museum, in the heart of Prague. In the evening you will have a chance to do some shopping and to have your lunch in one of charming traditional or international restaurants. Overnight in Prague.
3rd day: Prague. Optional: Castle tour or Cesky Krumlov (UNESCO) tour. Overnight in Prague.
4th day: Breakfast. Prague - Vienna by private bus. Check in. Vienna sightseeing tour. Departure from Prague to Vienna (approx. 305 km, 4 hours). On the way to Vienna, we will show you the beautiful countryside of South Bohemia. Short stop nearby the city of Znojmo for rest. Arrival to Vienna. Accommodation at the hotel. Departure from the hotel for Vienna City Tour. We will drive you around Vienna’s Ringstrasse, a leafy boulevard around the heart of the city and the location of many impressive buildings, for example the State Opera House, the Hofburg (Imperial Palace), the Museums of Fine Arts and Natural History, the Parliament, the Burgtheater, the City Hall and the University. Our guide will show you the most interesting and famous places of Vienna. Overnight in Vienna.
5th day: Breakfast. Optional: Half day optional tour in Vienna Woods - Castle Liechtenstein - Seegrotte - Mayerling - Abbey of Heiligenkreuz - Baden. Excursion which shows you the most beautiful sights of the southern part of the Vienna Woods. Passing the Roman City of Baden which is famous for its thermal springs, we drive through the romantic valley Helenental to the former Mayerling hunting lodge, (visit of memorial chapel), where Crown Prince Rudolph together with Baronesse Vetsera died tragically in 1889. In the Cistercian Abbey of Heiligenkreuz (1133) you visit the medieval cloister which houses the remains of the last Babenberger. We then pass the Höldrichsmühle and arrive at the Seegrotte. After a boat ride on the largest subterranean lake in Europe you leave the Vienna Woods and return to Vienna throught Castle Liechtenshtein (stop for photo). Optionally: Mozart & Strauss concert with dinner. Overnight in Vienna.
6th day: The Schonbrunn Palace and Park. Vienna – Budapest by bus. Check in. Budapest Grand City Tour. Together with its ancillary buildings and extensive park, it is one of the most important cultural monuments in Austria. Scheduled as a listed monument, the whole ensemble, including the palace, the park with its numerous architectural features, fountains and statues and not least the zoo – the oldest of its kind in the world – was placed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1996. Entrance fee Schonbrunn Palace: 9,50 €. Departure from Vienna to Budapest (approx. 280 km, 3,5 hours) in the afternoon. Upon arrival to the City of Budapest and check-in: Budapest Grand City Tour. You will see the impressive neo-gotic house of Parliament. You cross the Danube on the Margaret-bridge (Margaret island) and drive to the Royal castle on the Buda side, where you visit the Fishermens' bastion and the Matthias church. After the Citadel you cross Elisabet-bridge and drive the City-park towards Heroes' square. Passing by the Opera and St Stephen's basilica.
Optionally: Danube Boat trip. During the candle-lit boat trip the Operett Company founded by excellent singing, instrumental and dancing artists of the Hungarian State Opera House takes care of your entertainment. They sing and play the pearls of popular operettas, operas, Italian and Spanish songs, musicals in original languages as well as brilliant classical, step, belly and Hungarian folk dances in spectacular costumes. 7th day: Breakfast. Optional: Half day tour in Szentendre. Museum of Hungarian Jewelry. There is a small, but very famous baroque city at the gate of the Danube Bend, at the meeting place of the river Danube and the Pilis Hills, in a beautiful natural setting. With a 25-minute drive from Budapest, we reach this picturesque Artist's Village called Szentendre. We enjoy the special atmosphere of this village. We also stop at the Confectionery Museum. (Entrance fees: Marzipan Museum – 3 €, Margit Kovacs Ceramic Museum – 3 €). We will visit the exhibition of Hungarian Jewelry, which offers an insight into the history of Hungary's 1000yearlong culture of jewelry. Optionally. Evening program: we invite you on Hungarian Folk show with Hungarian-style dinner and folk gypsy program to the Hungarian restaurant. Night in Budapest. Overnight in Budapest.
