Listen to the stories of Kalevala, the Finnish national epic, learn about the power of the great shamans, the creation of the world and the believes of the nature spirits, called “haltia”. Find out about myths and facts of the bear, “karhu”, the king of the woods and the national animal of Finland. Learn about the mysterious winter sleep of the brown bear and about ancient bear hunting rituals. Experience mythologies and the traditions of the ancient Finns and enjoy the beauty of the Finnish nature. After our walking tour we will go to traditional Finnish sauna. The gentle heat of a traditional Finnish sauna brings pleasure, peace, and relaxation and has many healing effects. With us, you will get in touch with the spirit of the Finnish sauna and learn about ancient sauna traditions. Enjoy the friendly heat of our wood-heated sauna and refresh in the cooling waters of the lake – in the wintertime, you can even try ice-swimming. After sauna enjoy 3-course menu of wild Arctic food prepared by the open fire. After we will back to Helsinki.
