First stop will be at Neamț Monastery - Romanian Orthodox religious settlement, one of the oldest and most important of its kind in Romania. It was built in the 15th century, and it is an example of medieval Moldavian architecture. A jewel of 15th-century architecture, the church was built during Ștefan cel Mare's reign and finished in the year when the Moldavian army won the battle against King John Albert (1497). The next stop will be at Neamt Fortress, part of the former Moldavian defense system. The citadel was the major guardian on Romania and Siret valleys but also on the gateway to Transylvania, becoming one of the major Fortress of Romania. The building was declared a historical monument in 1866 and is a major landmark for a visit in the North East Romania. Last stop will be at Agapia Monastery a famous nouns monastery. The Agapia Monastery is a Romanian Orthodox nunnery in the commune of Agapia, Neamţ County. It was built between 1641 and 1643 by Romanian hetman Gavriil Coci, brother of Vasile Lupu. The church, restored and modified several times during the centuries was painted by Nicolae Grigorescu, between 1858 and 1861. It is one of the largest nunneries in Romania, having 300–400 nuns and ranking second place in population after Văratec Monastery. Take a tour of area and visit the carpet workshop which is still a major activity of the complex in order to sustain themselves.
