Our first stop we will mak at the city of Chemnitz. From the Red Tower dated back to the time of the city founding up to the first (and the only one in Germany until now) glass department store Kaufhof evidences from various epochs of the towns history are to explore. The Chemnitz, also known as Karl Marx city,  has flourished in the industrial revolution and it’ still continues this trend, while at the same time it’s architecture and culture shows modernist influences. In this tour you will discover the highlights of the area of Chemnitz and admire the enormous Karl Marx Monument. You will learn about History of the city, Karl Marx and his connection to the town,  Industrial revolution. Also you will see the Museum Kunstsammlung Chemnitz, the Chemnitz Theatre, the Karl Marx Monument, the Red Tower, Archeology Museum Shocken, Tietz shopping area and more. Next we will visit to Klaffenbach Castle, the white Renaissance jewel, is poised almost weightlessly above the waters of the Wuerschnitz River. The picturesque view of the castle in the south of Chemnitz with its playful curved ogee roof hardly makes the castle appear well-fortified. This idyll of architecture and nature is especially popular with lovers who love to take their marriage vows here - well-guarded by Fraeulein von Taube, who once was immured alive in the castle tower for not wanting to get marry. In the rooms of the castle, which have all been reconstructed according to old craftsmanship, you may marvel at regional and international craft. Next we will visit to the world-famous toy village of Seiffen was first mentioned in the year 1324. Back the village was referred to as “Cynsifen”. It is picturesquely situated in a valley in the heart of the Ore Mountains. With an altitude of 650 to 700 meters above sea level, the toy village is almost on the mountain ridge. Seiffen is a state-approved resort. Love for the homeland, unique craftsmanship and the passion for working with wood are what defines the village of Seiffen today.  As the silver and tin deposits declined, former miners had to look for new ways to feed their families. In addition to lace making and weaving, the local population turned to wood carving. Nutcrackers, "smoking men", Christmas pyramids (carousels with figures of the Christmas story or from mining) and Schwibbögen (wooden candle arches, displayed in windows, symbolising the opening of a mine) are some of many Christmas goods made in the Ore Mountains. After we return to Leipzig.
