Route: Monte Carlo - Antibes - Biot - Grasse - Cannes - Monte Carlo
Duration: 10 h
The first stop of our tour will be at Antibes. By the sea and surrounded by ramparts, old Antibes boasts numerous treasures: Grimaldi castle home to the Picasso museum, narrow streets and the small squares,  Peynet museum,  Provençal market, cathedral decorated with a Baroque facade, Cap d'Antibes, craft shops, restaurants and cafés. Outside of the fortified old town are the Vauban port and the Carré fort, built in the 17th century by Vauban. At Marineland, the internationally-renowned marine-life theme park, you also can see wonderful killer whale and dolphin shows. Next stop of our tour will be at a lovely picturesque old town located up in the hills of Antibes - Biot. This Medieval  town is full of culture, history and art. Founded by Celts, invaded by Romans, taken over by pirates, ruled by medieval knights and sacked by the black plague: the old town of Biot has a rich history spanning over 2000 years. Today, Biot is a charming town famous for its glassblowing, ceramics and pottery, as well as its shady cafes, jumble of medieval buildings and pretty hilltop views across the French Riviera. The village has the feel of an artist's colony, with lots of open workshops where you can go in and watch artists create their pieces. or just stroll through cobbled streets framed by stone archways and glimpses of the sea. Biot has so much to explore from the museums and galleries to the shops and workshops, you can spend day discovering and enjoying all that it has to offer. One of the many extravagant things France is known for is its perfume and the next stop of our tour will be at Grasse which is the perfume capital.  Here are three “parfumeries” in Grasse - Fragonard, Molinard, and the oldest one, Galimard, which dates back to 1747. You don’t have to be interested in perfume to check these places out;  visitors can enjoy learning about how perfume is made and spend time smelling all the different blends. Here free guided tours and gift shops and Fragonard is a popular site to visit because of its attached museum with a lot of perfume history. At Molinard, you can also learn how to make your own simple perfume. Up or down, the stone streets and colorful buildings of Grasse are interesting place for discovery and do not miss to explore the Cathedrale Notre Dame du Puy - a gorgeous cathedral that also houses a few paintings by Ruben and one by Fragonard. Our next stop will be at very famoust city Cannes which began like a a Roman camp, Le Suquet is Cannes’ old town quarter and the original site of the city. With its medieval buildings and a castle atop the hill, it offers an intriguing contrast to the glamour of La Croisette. This is the most picturesque part of town. It is easy to lose your way among the labyrinth of back streets, quaint passageways, and petite squares. Climbing to the top of the Suquet Hill, you will take in panoramic views of Cannes and the surrounding area. Cannes is one of the best-known cities in France. This is due in large part, to the annual Cannes Film Festival. During your Cannes walking tour you simply must “Take a selfie on the Red Carpet, darling!” The Mediterranean resort is also renowned for a vibrant port and its historic market called Le Marché Forville. You will discover a multitude of luxury shops, fancy restaurants, prestigious hotels, and lovely parks. During the tour you will see Marché Forville, Le Suquet, Notre Dame d’Esperance, The Old Port of Cannes, Palais de Festival, La Croisette, Beaches in Cannes, La Malmaison Museum and more. After we will return to Monte Carlo.
