During our tour you will visit to Trakošćan Castle and city Varaždin. Our first stop will be at Trakošćan Castle. For lovers of history and arts, Trakošćan Castle is a great place to visit. It was built in the thirteenth century as a part of fortification system, defending Croatia from the attacks of the Ottoman Turks. Throughout the history, it has been renovated several times by its various owners. In the 19th century, Trakošćan acquired its present appearance – the castle has been reconstructed in Neo-Gothic style, an artificial lake in the woods has been made, making it an idyllic place with harmonious atmosphere. Walk by the lake, climb up the tower, listen to the stories of the families who lived there since the Middle Ages and also the stories of modern times. After we will visit Varaždin, one of the most important tourist centers of northern Croatia. The old town fortification, the central part of the town, numerous museums, galleries, and collections as well as the Varaždin cemetery, protected as a horticultural monument, represent the main tourist attractions of this Central European Baroque town. After that we will back to Zagreb.
